the museum grounds come alive with the artistry of New Yorks Baryshnikov Arts Center. The format includes dance, music
and theater as well as film.
The ballet season begins October 26th with the Paul
Taylor Dance Company performing through the 28th. Other performances are scheduled throughout season and into the first
week of May.
Enjoy innovative
formats and traditional concerts, exceptional music by the great masters, all-time favorites and dynamic guest
conductors. Performances are scheduled from September through May.
- November 16th the Asolo opens with the play 1776.
Ben Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were major figures addressing the formative years of U.S. history.
Performances continue through December 22.
- A broad spectrum of the worlds finest artists ranging from
music and dance to theater and comedy are featured throughout the year.
Two dozen large-scale sculptures
from artists throughout the world are featured along the U.S. 41 (Bayfront Drive) portion of Sarasotas Centennial Park.
Installations are viewable from the first week in November through May.
Sarasotas Chalk Festival is the first in
the U.S. attracting International street artists demonstrating three dimensional illusions that pop from the pavement.
November 6th is the kick-off for a week-long street painting event on South Pineapple Avenue in the historic area known
as Burns Square.
Renowned Blues artists Ruthie
Foster, Kenny Neal and Dave Biscuit Miller will be belting tunes along Bradentons Manatee Riverwalk, Saturday December
1st.
A two-week program of musical training & FREE performances at USF and the Sarasota Opera House for gifted students with
concert violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman.

Skyspace by James Turrell, Circus Museum and the Ca dZan, Ringlings home on the bay. Spend a day in St. Petersburg at
the Salvador Dali Museum and Morean Art Center with works of glass by Dale Chihuly, then head to the Hot Shop and observe
